Prefab 55+ is a prefabricated house for the older generation that is to enable an affordable, but high standard of individual living. The system is made up of lengthwise boxes in modules of 3.4 m and 1.7 m that are pre-prepared and taken to the relevant place for construction as a whole.

In the layout, emphasis is placed on orientation towards the light and the creation of a varied character of internal space enabling time to be spent differently. The residential part with a higher clear height is open to the roof truss, the space over the bathroom contains technical equipment and compact installations in one module. The system and openings in the façade enable a unit to grow and be divided. In order to implement wheelchair access, it is possible to simply take away some of the built-in furniture. The house is designed to a passive standard from solid CLT wooden panels.
